B-Dub’s-Inspired Spicy Garlic Wings

Return to all

I’ve always been a huge fan of the wing sauces at Buffalo Wild Wings, so for today’s specialty wing sauce, I decided to put together my own version of their classic Spicy Garlic Sauce.

(Note: I’m not some kind of gourmet flavor profile genius. The recipe is all over Pinterest. This was not hard to find.)

This was probably the easiest sauce to make since I started doing these every week. Here’s what I used:

  • 12 cups of Frank’s Red Hot
  • 4 Cups of Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 Cup of Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Cup of Sugar
  • 1/8 Cup of Black Pepper
  • 1/8 Cup of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/8 Cup of Worcestershire Sauce

All you have to do is mix all of those together in a big pot. After that, I just heated it up to a boil to make sure that everything was mixed together and then let it simmer for a little while. I also added a bit of cornstarch and water to thicken it up just a bit.

I added some chopped parsley as a garnish, but this is really just to make the picture look pretty. It doesn’t add any flavor value.

As simple as this sauce was to make, I think it is one of the best specialty wing sauces we have featured. It packs tons of hot sauce and garlic flavor into every bite, which is exactly what you want when you are taking down a basket of chicken wings.
